About this Opportunity
Our Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 
As a Product Specialist Intern working at Geiger in Atlanta, you'll provide administrative support to ensure that the products, services, and corporate capabilities in Geiger’s showrooms are represented professionally. You will help support Sales efforts by providing layouts, specifications, pricing information, isometric/perspective drawings, and product information.

  • Help manage and maintain Geiger’s showroom facilities to ensure they remain an unusual and unique sales tool that differentiates Geiger in the marketplace.
  • Provide specification-modeling support to help create a competitive advantage.
  • Participate in Sales training activities for product application.
  • Assist in managing events such as facility tours, showroom presentations, and product presentations.
  • Coordinate support for various Sales programs and mock-ups.
  • Understand and help drive the differentiating design/application features of Geiger products.
  • Participate on a cross-functional team to complete an intern project.
  • Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you are...
  • A strong communicator with polished interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed in planning, organizational, and time management skills and have the ability to handle conflicting pressures and deadlines.
  • A self-starter with a strong professional presence.
  • Experienced with interior design.
  • Proficient with Revit and Auto-CAD.
  • Technically skilled with a sales background.
  • Experienced with the commercial side of products.
  • Enrolled and pursuing a four year Bachelor’s degree related to the internship position applied for from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
  • Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program.
  • In favorable academic standing within your current academic program.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
