About This Opportunity
Herman Miller’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As a Total Rewards Intern, you will help communicate our benefits in a fresh, new way. You will gain an overall exposure to a variety of benefits, including medical, work-life, and wellbeing.
What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you...
  • Build out communications programs for existing benefits, including the wellness program.
  • Create marketing materials for our internal communications platform.
  • Work on streamlining benefits processes.
  • Help transition to electronic files (moving away from paper processes). You'll also help with a digital filing system.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project.
  • Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives.
Sound Like You?
You might be just who we're looking for if you are...
  • Experienced with and have an advanced level of knowledge in Excel, including working with pivot tables and formulas.
  • Able to tell a story from data.
  • Interested in compliance (HIPPA, regulatory practices, etc.).
  • Interested or experienced in auditing.
  • Curious and motivated.
  • Able to keep confidentiality and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate and connect with a wide variety of people.
  • Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
  • Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program.
  • In favorable academic standing within your current academic program.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
