We are searching for an intermediate to senior level project designer or architect with AIRPORT EXPERIENCE, with a strong background in aviation planning, terminal planning, airline coordination and passenger experience thinking.

 Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple aspects of large scale aviation projects including client relationships, Airline coordination, project coordination, and general contractors
  • Full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants
  • Manage client relationships and team communication
  • Resolve complex technical and planning related design issues
  • Interface with airlines during the design and construction phases of the project  
  • Coordinate and manage consultants specific to aviation specific

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 10+ years of relevant experience in airport projects
  • Architectural license or currently and actively in process is preferred
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues related to peak use, flight day schedules and passenger loads within an operational airport.
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination.
  • Proficiency with Autocad, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency creating clear design presentations and being able to present to a large group in a meeting.
  • Broad knowledge of building codes and standards and aviation specific standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to work effectively within a range of team compositions
  • Proven leadership management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships that lead to successful results, whether within the firm or externally – with clients, consultants, and other key participants in the design and development process.
  • Strong presentations skills both with the ability to verbalize ideas and direct others.
  • Versatile, collaborative, self-motivated and articulate.
