**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Capture Manager to support our Industrial, Commercial and Facilities Operations & Maintenance business. This is a senior level position reporting to the VP Business Development, and **will be located contingent upon the needs of the business.**

Ideally, candidates will reside in an area with easy access to a major airport to facilitate travel to established client facilities and new business opportunities as required. **This position will require at least 50% travel throughout continental United States.**

The Capture Manager is responsible for translating client requirements based on Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other client interactions, and **develop the overall vision** of relevant roles, processes and responsibilities fulfilling the client’s mission **with an execution plan that turns that idea into a cost effective solution.**

The Capture Manager will also be responsible to lead the sales process for major pursuits from start to close. Candidate will have the ability to present AECOM’s value statement, both internally and client facing.

The Capture Manager is responsible for developing the winning “Concept of Operations” for new and emerging opportunities, including staffing models, technology implementation and vendor partnerships. The Capture Manager works closely with Business Development and Operational Team members, incorporates their feedback and helps design customized and cost effective “solutions” to client challenges.

The Capture Manager is a problem solver and must have a **balanced mix of technical and business skills** . Strong verbal and written communications skills are required to effectively communicate the value of proposed solutions to our clients, in both written proposals and face-to-face client interactions.

**Experience with complex industrial / commercial facility and/or manufacturing management, operations and maintenance is essential.**


+ Works with clients, Business Development and Operations leadership to understand client needs.

+ Leads the solution development process to identify the value drivers of the client need and develop effective and innovative solutions.

+ Conducts market research and gathers intelligence regarding the prospective customer in order to gain insight in how to provide meaningful solutions.

+ Helps to identify capability gaps/competitive strengths and weaknesses and relevant requirements necessary to close gaps to win the bid.

+ Analyzes specifications including scope of work to be performed by company personnel, outside vendors, sketches, blueprints, materials, etc. and calculate costs using labor and material pricing models and historical data when available.

+ Provides critical input to proposal development, including technical and written content.

+ Coordinates necessary technical interchanges with clients to ensure client requirements are thoroughly understood and accounted for in the solution development and pricing processes.

+ Prepares estimates using company approved applications or formats (Excel workbooks and data sheets).

+ Collaborates with pricing group to establishes benchmark costing practices to help accelerate proposal process

+ Coordinates with procurement or others for requests for quotations from outside suppliers and vendors for materials and services.

+ Prepares and maintains historical solutions information for quick reference and validation.

+ Prepares data for reports, presentations, status updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Consults with Legal, Risk, Finance, and HR when necessary.

+ Invests in Continual Improvement. Communicates recommendations to modify processes to improve quality and productivity.

+ Fosters capture and sharing of knowledge and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

+ Understands, identifies and attempts to mitigate business risks in developing solutions.

+ Performs special projects as required.

**Minimum Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements:**

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Facility Management, Maintenance Management, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience in facilities, process, or production maintenance.

2. In addition to education,12 years of direct technical experience or business development experience developing facility operations and maintenance solutions for the industrial/commercial environment, including preparation of proposals and RFP responses.

3. Must be willing to travel at least 50% throughout continental United States to customer and/or vendor locations. Some international travel may be required.

**Additional Information:**

+ This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.

+ Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.

+ Requires ability to attend meetings and travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations as well as some air travel to more distant locations.

+ Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.

+ Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.

+ Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout diverse work environments as required by business demand.

+ Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner.

**Special Requirements:**

+ Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

+ Cope with demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

3. Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a proven record of effective, persuasive presentations to diverse audiences.

4. Extensive experience in Asset Management.

5. Extensive experience utilizing CMMS systems in relation to new business start-ups.

6. Experience with engineering controls related to facility maintenance services.

7. Experience with engineering related to machine tool manufacturing processes and cell based and continuous manufacturing production lines.

8. Experience in continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, etc.

9. Experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook and Word.

**Other Attributes:**

+ May be required to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
