**Responsibilities**

The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and direct supervision of Work Shop personnel including the Carpenters, Finishers, Set Builders, Shop Supervisor and Set Builder Coordinators.



+ Responsible for supervising, evaluating, and monitoring the work quality and performance of all Work Shop personnel

+ Works closely with the Scenery Designer, Scenery Supervisor, and Art Director to ensure all scenery designs meet the artistic needs of the production as agreed in pre-production stage

+ Prepares personnel work schedules and ensures all assigned tasks are completed in a timely fashion to avoid any delays with the production(s)

+ Adapts and modifies the look of scenery/sets as instructed by the Scenery Designer

+ Approves and revises purchase orders and work order quotes

+ Ensures the appropriate training is offered to all department personnel and promotes continuous training so personnel can remain current in their respective areas of responsibility

+ Responsible for managing the inventory of all shop materials and ensuring the budget is not exceeded

+ Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities Operations and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

**Qualifications/Requirements**

+ Minimum 7 years of experience working within a work shop, manufacturing shop, or similar work environment

+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or similar

+ Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience

+ Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish

+ Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions

+ Exhibits working knowledge of health and safety requirements

+ Must be able to perform physical activities required of this position which includes, but is not limited to, climbing, lifting, balancing stooping, and handling of materials

+ Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Willingness to travel and on weekends with short notice

+ Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area

+ Must be 18 years or older

+ Must have a valid driver’s license

+ Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

+ Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write)

+ Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.

+ Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

+ Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and natural disaster emergencies.

+ Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

+ Ability to work regular hours.
