**Job Summary**

AECOM is looking to employ a Civil Engineer to work within our growing Water consulting team in Basingstoke. The candidate will be expected to work in various design stages of water and wastewater utility projects. Key responsibilities will include carrying out feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs, and preparing reports and technical specifications for water related infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for key local and regional clients.

Job Duties:

+ Design of water and wastewater utilities design including

+ Gravity and pressurized networks

+ Treatment works and pump stations

+ Surface water networks and outfalls

+ Hydraulics design and calculations using proprietary software packages

+ Work closely and interface with other disciplines in the delivery of engineering design

+ Support the preparation of technical reports

+ Carry out site surveys

+ Delivering tasks assigned to agreed budget, programme and quality.

+ Support the preparation of project budget & programme.

Specific Skills Required :

+ You will have an appreciation for the importance of Health and Safety in design and contribute to our positive health and safety culture.

+ It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills, using these to develop and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and external clients where required.

+ Demonstrate sound problem solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and solid written and verbal communication skills.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ You will hold a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

+ You will be working toward being chartered with a relevant institution (e.g ICE or CIWEM)

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience using a 3D design tool will be an advantage
