**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Nuclear Commercial Manager to be based in our Toronto, ON location. An ideal candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the area.

AECOM’s Construction Services Canada has multiple opportunities for experienced Commercial Manager to support the successful completion of a range of projects across the region.

+ Support the Project Director in all aspects of the overall management of stakeholder interfaces, including Client and internal stakeholders

+ Providing commercial, financial and contractual expertise to ensure that the projects undertaken are commercially successful

+ Manage all commercial, risk and contractual aspects of the Contract, providing direction and co-ordination between the risk, execution, finance, administration and contracts administration functions

+ Ensure alignment between all functional silos for cost and schedule adherence, including accountability for performance

+ Responsible for all risk identification and mitigation programs and procedures are followed to de-risk the work for both the Company and the Client

+ Participate, engage in and support implementation of the Project Safety, Health and Environment program for the project including the development and implementation of a nuclear safety culture

+ Participate, engage and support implementation of the Project Quality Assurance / Quality Control program for all scope work, including ensuing review and incorporation of suitable OPEX and Lessons Learned

+ Ensure the Contract and Sub-Contracts are completed within cost estimates and are administered efficiently and in accordance with the Contract and Project Guidelines

+ Ensure that all contractual objectives and activities are linked to and support the Company’s expected outcomes and the client’s business outcomes

+ Assist in the development, review and deployment of project systems and procedures and assist in the deployment of said systems, processes and procedures to ensure the Company is at no time commercially exposed

+ Ensure delivery of best practice and outstanding commercial performance, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in best practice from other AECOM sites

+ Promoting and modelling the quality culture and continuous improvement, by actively pursuing changes that can reduce cost, increase productivity or improved quality

+ Work with the Finance and cross-functional teams on all audit requirements and responses

+ Maintain a focus on providing excellent customer service

+ develop and maintain a good company image with the client both internally and externally

+ Attend Client kick-off, Project Management Group, Project Performance, Subcontractor and internal meetings as required to satisfy the demands of the Project

+ Report significant commercial issues and issues of risk to the AECOM Leadership Team

+ Work with AECOM Supply Chain Management to ensure selected contractors, subcontractors and suppliers satisfy the Company’s capability guidelines and, to the extent possible, take up the risk and obligations of the Company under the Contract. Where this is not practical, advise the General Manager Sustaining Projects and AECOM Corporate Commercial Manager accordingly and advise of options available prior to entering into any contractual arrangements

+ Monitor and record any variances from the Contract and Subcontracts including variances to terms and conditions and pricing

+ Prepare formal variations to the Contract and Subcontracts, including advising and assisting in the evaluation thereof, and recommendations for approval. Manage variations, claims, contra charges and extensions of time to the Contract and all Subcontracts.

+ In respect of contractual claims under the Contract or from any sub-contractors, these should be managed in direct conjunction with and with the advice of the AECOM Corporate Commercial Manager.

+ Prepare in a timely manner, comprehensive monthly commercial progress reports for submission to the Client and Business Development Group

+ Prepare payment claims for work completed and recommend the approval of disputed progress payments to contractors

+ Manage and control the accounts and administration sections to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety and performance are observed and that time schedules are met

+ Administer the approved general accounting practices to ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes

+ Work with Finance team and other related functions in audit responses and risk mitigation

+ Cooperate with and assist external auditors as required

+ Ensure activities related to the function comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards

+ Follow and adhere to all audit compliance regulations as required by audit standards

+ Other duties as required

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a Relevant Discipline

+ 8+ years in Commercial or Procurement role with progression into more senior roles

+ 2+ years in a management position

+ Knowledge of commercial aspects of all Electrical Power Systems Construction Association (EPSCA) collective agreements

+ Knowledge of commercial aspects for Canadian Union of Skilled Workers (CUSW) collective agreement

+ Demonstrated baseline knowledge and experience with CAN/CSA N285.0 – 12, General Requirements for Pressure-Retaining Systems and Components in CANDU Nuclear Power Plants

+ Knowledge of construction, project and program controls principles and practices (inc Budget)

+ Knowledge ofSAP Project Systems (or similar)

+ High level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint

+ Relevant experience in contract/commercial preparation and negotiation (including contract law)

+ Knowledge of document control systems

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Nuclear Construction, Maintenance and/or Heavy Industry experience.

+ An ideal candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the area. No LOA or Subs will be provided.

+ Accounting designation (CPA, CGA or equivalent) would be an asset.

+ MBA would be an asset.
