**Job Summary**

AECOM is searching for Electrical and Controls Engineer to assist in the operation and maintain the client’s facility. Two years experience in the industrial power and controls discipline is preferred from applicants. Recent college graduate will be also highly regarded if academic course works are closely related to power engineering field, Digital Designs, theory in motors, generators or knowledge of industrial controls systems- All will be major attributes.

Selected candidate will supervise 2 electricians and 1 control technician. Job duties will include:

+ Crafting, revising electrical switching procedures; Coordinate all site power switching/reconfiguration tasks.

+ Direct and provide technical expertise to union members in performance repair and maintenance and periodic test of all electrical equipment ranging from 120VAC to 13,600VAC.

+ Troubleshooting malfunctioning of power delivery equipment; Research and procurement of replacement parts.

+ Participate, review and provide engineering input on new recap projects. Crafting scope of work for soliciting bids from sub-contractors on small repair works.

+ Mastering control algorithm of two major plant industrial control systems: SCADA, FOXBORO DCS; Capable of troubleshooting operations of various plant systems, i.e. boilers, chillers, emergency generators, motors, pumps, valves, instruments air, MCC, switchgears, incinerators….and implement logic program change, utilizing these electronic platforms.

+ Interface with the clients’ engineering group to complete other surprised assignments.

+ Analyzing and thorough understanding of electrical and control circuitry of each plant system to direct working crews in troubleshooting system failure; Comfortable with using Fluke multi-meter and O-Scope as main troubleshooting tools.

+ Attend meetings and briefing customers on current operation issues. Propose best practiced, sound solutions for clients’ consideration.

+ Safety oriented; must be a good steward to promote environment protection and employee safety.

+ Possession of some reasonable people skills to properly supervise a labor union work force.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Four year Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology; graduating in December/2017.

+ Senior academic technical electives were oriented toward Power Engineering or Digital Design.

+ Programmed with Microcontroller and solved complex problem using control logics of AND, OR gates.

+ Possess strong oral and written skills to communicate in English fluently.

+ Possess critical thinking ability, patience in problem solving using methodical, logic deduction.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical single line drawings.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering blue prints.

+ Understand single phase, three-phase power system in industrial setting.

+ Must be able and willing to work on some Saturdays or Sundays to support client’s mission.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Some knowledge of control and automation i.e. Design of Start/Stop circuitry for Motor Control Center.

+ Some brief knowledge of any of HMI industrial control software i.e. Cimplicity, Wonderware, Intellution/IFix, ProWorxNxT, ProWorx Unity, Allen Bradley RSLogix, Foxboro DCS.

+ Ability to read and interpret various electrical and control wiring diagrams or schematics.

+ Understanding of boilers, chillers and other HVAC related equipment.

+ Two or more years of exposure or understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

+ Well versed in MCC and motor control circuitry; Pumps, fans.

+ Variable Frequency Drive; Station battery.

+ 2-3 years of experience in operation and maintenance and troubleshooting of various types of switchgears, and UPS systems.

+ Had 2 years hands-on experience with 3-phase generators and generator controls.
