**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Mechanical /Pipeline Engineer for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Performance as mechanical, facility and pipeline design engineer on oil & gas design projects including

+ Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards such as B31.3, B31.8, API 2000, 49CFR Part 192, ASME Section 8, etc.

+ Be able to perform engineering calculations related to the design standards.

+ Implementation of project information from outside sources/technology format.

+ Understand mechanical engineering principles such as stress and vibration analysis, SMYS Calculations, hydrotesting reports, material reports, etc.

+ Perform structural analyses with 3D modeling software such as Intergraph CAESAR II.

+ Develop drawings/figures as needed per client request.

+ Develop P&ID’s and PFD’s as well as review piping and civil drawing packages.

+ Develop specifications for mechanical equipment packages, work with outside vendors and lead our inside designers.

+ Develop engineering drawing sets issued for approval, bid, and construction packages

+ Key Member in coordination of:

+ Various inner office teams (environmental permitting, CAD production, and process engineering)

+ Weekly meetings with client and contractors

+ Pipeline route development with Client

+ Mechanical engineering reviews with Client

+ Information sharing with contractors and outside companies associated with project

+ Task delegation to internal staff engineers and designers

+ Work to learn/reinforce existing knowledge in general pipeline design practices, such as:

+ Valve sizing calculations and piping

+ Meter sites

+ Compressor facilities

+ Preliminary piping and pipeline layout and design

+ Assist with preparation of scope and estimates for pipeline engineering work when necessary

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering from accredited university

+ Level I no experience needed

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)

+ Must be extremely well organized

+ Must possess team leadership and participation skills

+ Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills​

+ Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, CadWorks, or Navisworks a plus, but not required

+ Prior project and personnel management background

+ History of performing in key role and/or managing large projects

+ AutoCAD experience a plus

+ Experience with clients is desired, but not required
