**Job Summary**

AECOM has a challenging opportunity for a full-time Fire Protection Associate in the Cleveland, Ohio office. The AECOM Cleveland Office, located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, has full-service architectural/engineering capabilities with a project portfolio that extends globally. The Fire Protection Engineering Group is part of the Buildings + Places Business Line. Responsibilities for the position include

+ Preparation of engineering reports, drawings, and specifications associated with the application of building and fire codes and design of fire alarm, fire suppression, and other life safety systems for a variety of buildings, facilities, and occupancies, including healthcare, industrial, college/university, and transportation

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

+ 2+ years of experience in engineering design and/or construction

+ Experience preparing engineering reports and design drawings for fire suppression, fire alarm, and other life safety systems

+ Ability to work on several projects simultaneously

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work well with a team, including those in other offices

+ Experience with the application of building codes and standards (ICC, NFPA, etc.) to design projects

+ Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with the fire service

+ Experience with Autodesk programs (AutoCAD, REVIT, etc.)

+ Experience with hydraulic calculation software

+ Detail-oriented and internally motivated

+ Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam with intent to seek registration as a Professional Engineer
