**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking Gunner’s mates experienced with the MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System for training and developing into subject matter experts in support of Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Code 294.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Conduct specified engineering/technical evaluations, perform equipment functional checks, perform troubleshooting/test/analysis and equipment repair to correct MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System, operation, maintenance, and connectivity faults.

2. Assist Ship's Force technicians and government personnel at assigned locations to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation and test

3. Analyze equipment review and inspection data to determine source of fault, and recommend repair, replacement or other corrective actions.

4. Suggest equipment engineering changes toward improving quality and reliability and to facilitate installation, maintenance and repair.

5. All other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ A minimum of 8 years full-time hands-on technical experience within the last 10 years in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, and/or repair of electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

+ A minimum of two years full-time engineering experience within the last 5 years in Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems in the capacity of operating and maintaining Combat, ASW, USW, MIW, or C4I systems.

+ Position requires the ability work onboard US Navy ships, work in industrial repair facilities, and work in confined spaces.

+ Experience operating, performing corrective and preventive maintenance on the MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System.

+ Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and successful completion of Class “C” school training on the MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System.

+ MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System experience must be within the last 10 years.

+ Secret Security Clearance and ability to possess a Common Access Card are required.

+ Resume should clearly state number of years’ experience and ship classes where experience was gained.

+ Resumes shall demonstrate successful completion of Class “C” school training on the 5”/54 and/or 5”/62 Mk 45 Gun Mount systems (NEC 0879/0880).

+ Resumes shall demonstrate general experience with a minimum of eight (8) years full-time hands-on technical experience within last 15 years in the operation, maintenance, testing, fault isolation and/or repair of mechanical/pneumatic/electrical/electronic systems/equipment incorporated in Combat C5I Systems.

+ Resumes shall demonstrate specialized experience with a minimum of four (4) years full-time engineering experience within the last 10 years in performing 5”/54 and/or 5”/62 Mk 45 Gun Mount maintenance, inspections and repairs.

+ Qualifications shall include the ability to act in an independent position, while performing engineering support services such as Technical Assists, Material Condition Assessments, and Corrective Maintenance.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience performing MK 45 5-inch 54/62 Caliber Gun System operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections and repairs at FTSCLANT/NSSA/MARMC, another RMC, MOTU, ISEA, SIMA, or OEM.
