**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Nuclear HS&E Manager to be based in our Toronto, ON location. An ideal candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the area.

AECOM’s Construction Services Canada has multiple opportunities for experienced HS&E Manager to support the successful completion of a range of projects across the region.

The ES&H Manager job family is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the environmental, safety and health (ES&H) programs under senior management direction.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for and ensure implementation of the Project Safety, Health and Environment program for the project including the development and implementation of a nuclear safety culture

+ Recognizes, evaluates, recommends and implements policies and procedures to assure awareness of and compliance with ES&H requirements of the organization.

+ Front line management and implementation of programs for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in support of the reporting function as agreed with the Client

+ Ensure alignment with SH&E for both construction and waste management scopes of work, as managed by internal stakeholders / functional groups

+ Support Waste Management and Radiation Protection groups in performance of their scope of work in alignment with the Project SH&E program as well as the Client’s policies and procedures.

+ Responsible for monitoring and preventing chemical, biological, physical hazards and diseases present throughout work sites.

+ Reviews and incorporates health standards published by regulatory authorities.

+ Provides all necessary reports to Federal, State and local agencies.

+ Directs audits of health and safety program to identify and control significant loss producing exposure.

+ Must keep fully informed on all existing and proposed changes in occupational health and safety regulations.

+ Develops and provides basic ES&H training to employees.

+ Promotes communication programs to enhance and encourage employee awareness of accident and fire prevention, industrial hygiene and environmental compliance.

+ Plan develops and directs the personnel within the Environmental Health and Safety function of the organization.

+ Provides leadership direction to management and professional personnel of the organization.

+ Support the Project Director / Manager in Client interfaces, especially interface requirements as driven by both an outage and asset management perspective

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environment, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, and Chemistry or an applied science field or demonstrated equivalent.

+ This is a management level position with 8 years of experience. Certification in CIH, CSP, CMIOSH, CHMM, PE, or CHP should be pursued or completed.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Nuclear Construction, Maintenance and/or Heavy Industry experience – Essential.

+ An ideal candidate must be local or willing to relocate to the area. No LOA or Subs will be provided.
