**Responsibilities**

**Role Summary:**

As part of the Digital Transformation and Innovation team, the Innovation Project Manager will support strategic partnerships between the startup community and Universal Pictures and manage the day-to-day project activities.

This role requires you to be at the forefront of technology trends, understand new concepts, and actively identify ways to apply them to growth opportunities for Universal Pictures.



This is a multifaceted role, intended to support multiple internal and external technology initiatives with shifting priorities, and the ideal candidate will be someone who can easily jump from supporting a program management office, facilitating discovery and requirements workshops, and also participate in technology evaluations and prototyping efforts.

**Essential Responsibilities:**



+ Work closely with our business partners to understand their business and system challenges and also identify potential technology solutions.

+ Create and manage a project plan, statement of works, work breakdown structures, and budget plans.

+ Support business, functional, and technical requirements gathering through the facilitation of workshops and meetings.

+ Work on proof of concepts with emerging technologies and deliver pilot projects

+ Analyze and research startups for potential partnership across studio departments.

+ Analyze, define and map operational processes and produce project deliverables as needed for assigned projects.

+ Collaborate with all Technology teams, business partners, and vendors to plan, organize, and secure resources for assigned project efforts following software development lifecycle and project implementation policies and procedures as applicable.

+ Provide direction to resources, monitor development efforts, assemble key project deliverables, report project status, and raise awareness on issues requiring escalation.

+ Successful management, execution and deployment of assigned projects ensuring requirements are met, design reviews are held, budgets/timelines/priorities are respected, and documentation is maintained,

+ Communicate technology concepts to a business audience by creating and delivering presentations.

+ Manage own personal and professional development, seeking opportunities within emerging technology space (i.e. Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, Blockchain)

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications:



+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred

+ Minimum of 3-5 years of technology consulting (Big Four) or other relevant industry experience

+ Proven project management experience to organize, track, prioritize and deliver work across cross work-streams and multiple projects

+ Understands the full development lifecycle (i.e. Agile, Rapid Application Development, Waterfall)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) is a must

+ Experience with working with external partners and vendors

+ Experience with executing stakeholder management and working with a development team

+ Experience working with a project management tools such as pivotal tracker, JIRA, and aha.io are a plus

+ Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management tool such as Salesforce is a plus
