**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Inspector for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties

+ Performing daily field inspections

+ Maintaining inspection records

+ Participating in punch lists, testing, and commissioning

+ Tracking quality assurance progress

+ Providing input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers

+ Inspecting construction progress which may include ensuring procedures and materials comply with specifications

+ Observing work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship

+ Reviewing contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate building codes and project requirements

+ Observing work for compliance with contract documents

+ Reviewing and responding to shop drawing submittals

+ Responding to request for information, clarifications, proposals, and change orders

+ Assisting with review and reconciliation of construction schedules

+ Scheduling updates and contractor payments

+ Observing testing and reviewing test results for conformance with technical specifications

+ Confirming quantities for pay applications

+ Assisting with verification of project completion milestones and contract closeout/commissioning

**Minimum Requirements**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ 2+ years of relevant work experience

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
