**Responsibilities**

+ Provide frontline, hand-on support for IT systems within a high-availability, broadcast television environment

+ Work under the supervision of the Director, Technology & Engineering

+ Daily contribution and focus on systems integrity and adhere to all Information Security policies and guidelines

+ Respond to multiple trouble ticket and break-fix reporting systems (e-mail, web, phone and in-person)

+ Service multiple internal clients (News, Sales & Promotions) using a customer service approach

+ Maintain a rigorous sensitivity for the production needs of end-users and operations personnel

+ Regularly engage and interact with the broader corporate IT shared services organization, taking ownership of issues from reporting to resolution

+ Participate in team meetings and projects with regular contribution to the growth and evolution of IT & Digital Media platforms

+ Support Windows Server, Desktop environments (including Active Directory and related software)

+ Support of Apple/Mac environments (Final Cut Pro, Adobe CS, Open Directory and related software)

+ Write technical Standard Operating Procedures as needed

**Qualifications/Requirements**

Basic Qualifications



+ Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting Windows server and client systems in a media production environment

+ Experience working digital media file formats, such as .XML, .MOV, .DV, .PSD, etc., and file conversion

+ Working knowledge of the post-production process from media acquisition to playback for air

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Information Technology, Media Management, Broadcast Engineering or equivalent experience. Eligibility Requirements:

+ Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice

+ Must be available for after hours and weekend support in an on-call team rotation

+ Must be willing to submit to a background investigation

+ Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds of gear

+ Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

+ Must be 18 years or older

+ Must have a valid driver’s license

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Five years’ experience supporting Windows server and client systems in a media production environment

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, as well as other digital production software such as Grass Valley Stratus and Edius, Photoshop, After Effects, Telestream, and Ross Video products.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills

+ Experience working in a broadcast and/or digital newsroom environment

+ Ability to quickly understand and size up opportunity and/or problems and respond with creative ideas and solutions

+ Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully manage multiple assignments concurrently in a high pressure, breaking news, environment

+ Make priority decisions under deadlines
