**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Natural Gas Facilities Engineer Lead for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performance as mechanical, process, facility and pipeline design engineer on oil & gas design projects including:

+ Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards such as B31.3, B31.8, API 2000, 49CFR Part 192, ASME Section 8, etc

+ Be able to perform engineering calculations related to the design standards for natural gas facilities

+ Implement project information from outside sources/technology format

+ Understand mechanical engineering principles such as stress and vibration analysis, SMYS Calculations, hydrotesting reports, material reports, etc.

+ Develop drawings/figures as needed per client request

+ Develop P&ID’s and PFD’s as well as review piping and civil drawing packages

+ Develop specifications for gas processing and mechanical equipment packages, work with outside vendors and lead our inside designers

+ Develop facility engineering drawing sets issued for approval, bid, and construction packages

Key member in coordination of:

+ Various inner office teams (environmental permitting, CAD production, and process, mechanical, structural, electrical, engineering, and piping design)

+ Conduct/attend weekly meetings with client and contractors

+ Attend review meetings with clients to go over design engineering drawings for facilities such as compressor stations, meter stations, etc. and pipeline route development with Client

+ Information sharing with contractors and outside companies associated with project

+ Task delegation to internal staff engineers and designers

Work to learn/reinforce existing knowledge in general pipeline design practices, such as:

+ Valve sizing calculations and piping

+ Meter sites

+ Compressor facilities

+ Preliminary piping and pipeline layout and design

Assist with preparation of scope and estimates for pipeline engineering work when necessary

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering from accredited university

+ 13+ years of relevant oil & gas industry experience or facilities engineering experience

+ PE, EIT or willingness to obtain and work towards a PE required

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, outlook)

+ Must be extremely well organized

+ Must possess team leadership and participation skills

+ Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Experience with Oil & Gas clients working with facilities and/or pipelines is required.

+ Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Prior project and personnel management background

+ History of performing in key role and/or managing large projects

+ GIS experience a plus
