**Minimum Requirements**

Due to growth our team in London is looking to recruit a Principal Estimator who is a technical expert in the following sectors: Tunnelling, Civils, Aviation, Water, Railway and Transport, Structures & buildings, OGC, M&M

The role will require,

+ Serve as a technical expert in estimating.

+ Understand the relationships between the project controls functions—estimating, planning/scheduling, cost control, and risk management

+ Understand cross-discipline relationships within the estimating team.

+ Review key aspects of the request for proposal or project contract.

+ Demonstrate understanding of estimating methods that support the requirements.

+ Actively review and understand key aspects of the request for proposal or project contract.

+ Help identify risk areas.

+ Assist in the development and execution of the strategy and plan for estimating activities that consider and support the overall proposal strategy or project requirements.

+ Develop estimates in the accuracy and level of detail required for the intended purpose of the estimate.

+ Within a specific business group and for estimates of a particular discipline, participate in the preparation of a comprehensive and thoroughly documented basis of estimate.

+ Within a specific business group and for estimates of a particular discipline, develop conceptual and definitive estimates following enterprise standard procedures and estimate classes.

+ Validate that the project scope, material take-offs, and client requirements are covered in the estimate.

+ Be familiar with the application of AECOM and industry-average overhead rates for subcontracted work.

+ Review the project estimate, project breakdown framework, and project schedule for consistency.

+ Estimate and advise lead staff of cost impacts of proposed design or construction changes.

+ Be familiar with cost analysis for subcontractor pricing to assess whether pricing is fair and reasonable.

+ Be familiar with the risk register and applicable Monte-Carlo simulation techniques. Maintain and trend historical cost data from actual hours, costs, and pricing.

+ Apply practical field experience and constructability expertise to the development of conceptual estimates when minimal design drawings and information are available.

+ Implement standard estimating systems.

+ Able to modify the systems- approach as appropriate to support specific proposal or project documentation as required

+ AECOM Estimate Plans

+ AECOM Estimate Reports

+ AECOM Estimating governance

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project.

+ Management or related technical field.

+ Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

+ Minimum of 7 years plus of progressive experience with increasing responsibility.

+ Active membership in AACE, PMI, or similar association. PSP or PMI- SP certification a plus
