AECOM are seeking a

**PMO (Programme Management Office) Manager** to support the delivery of our substantial portfolio of major highways projects across the Midlands region. The role would suit a Project Manager, experienced Assistant Project Manager looking to progress, or a candidate with business management experience.

The successful candidate would be based in one of our modern, regional office locations (in either Chesterfield, Nottingham or Birmingham) but would be required to spend a minimum of 2 days per week in Chesterfield.

Job Responsibilities:

+ As PMO Manager, you will report to the PMO Director and coordinate the PMO team, overseeing all elements of programme level cost control, schedule management and progress reporting. This includes:

+ Management of the PMO team, coordination of the delivery of regular PMO activities including chairing the weekly PMO meeting and liaison with Project Managers.

+ Implement the PMO’s strategy and processes to align services to support the successful delivery of projects.

+ Continuously develop the PMO’s standard processes to deliver service improvements and efficiencies.

+ Manage the compilation of project and programme-level reporting within AECOM and the client project teams, escalating key risks and issues. This includes earned value management, financial forecasting and schedule updates.

+ Oversee budget and cost control, prepare and update Estimates to Complete, compile financial reports.

+ Support project managers with the identification, development and agreement of change controls, evidenced from the baseline scope, budget and schedule. Ensure efficient change control methods and processes are implemented.

+ Coordinate with the programme Risk Manager, Efficiency Manager and project managers for timely updates to project risk registers, efficiency registers and issues logs. Adopt a programme-level approach to coordinate risk and issues management across projects to achieve greater savings.

+ Support monthly project reviews with Project Directors.

+ Prepare briefings, dashboards, status reports and oversee the preparation of monthly project progress reports.

+ Support the development of the PMO staff including coaching and mentoring to develop junior team members.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Experience in a project management role preferably in a PMO or on highways projects.

+ Track record of the development, implementation and improvement of standard processes and procedures to support efficient project delivery.

+ Experience of project and/or programme-level financial management and experience of maintaining financial management systems.

+ Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

+ Ability to work independently and to defined deadlines in a flexible multi-disciplinary environment

+ Knowledge or awareness of lean management would be an advantage.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Candidates should have a relevant degree or demonstrated equivalent work experience. Working towards a professional qualification is preferred
