Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Director, it’s your job to lead a studio in delivering unparalleled architectural projects. Leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership and mentorship across all technical aspects of design
  • Responsible for the quality assurance of multiple project teams
  • Provide studio leadership for specifications, codes, technical methods and implementation
  • Partner with Technical Directors in the office and region to develop and implement initiatives 
  • Contribute with other technical leaders across the firm to ensure firm's technical standards are being applied
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges  

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 15+ years of project experience in an architectural practice with at least 5 years experience working on projects of various sizes
  • Registered Architect, CDT and LEED accreditation preferred
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3dMax, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.
  • Expert knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Excellent communication and management skills; abillity to work collaboratively with staff members and clients
  • Must have a strong passion for mentoring and teaching
