**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager (Pipeline) to be based in our Calgary, Alberta location.

The Project Manager must have the appropriate combination of education, experience, expertise, and competency to perform successfully according to the project’s/contract’s level of financial risk and complexity. "Financial risk" generally reflects the potential for variance in expected profitability. "Complexity" generally reflects elements such as project description (length, total contract value), previous Company experience or precedents, availability of proven technology, physical location, working conditions, safety, labor / subcontracting / JV requirements, strategic considerations, efficiency guarantees, liquidated damages, design inclusion and complexity, environmental considerations, general liabilities, etc. All projects will be assessed for financial risk and complexity, ranging from low to high.

All Project Managers will participate in the Project Team Training Program (PTTP). Completion of courses and planned participation in future courses will be defined at each level by the senior Project Operations or the Group management team. Attainment of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute is recommended.

Level Specific Responsibilities:

Generally working under the supervision of a senior PM or above or Regional Operations Manager, demonstrates and provides project leadership in their area of responsibility.


+ Demonstrates leadership by example with integrity and candor.

Judgment & Management of Project Risk

+ Within his/her area of responsibility, consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.

Client Relationship

+ Clearly understands scope of work and contract requirements for his/her area of responsibility.


+ Supports BD, and Group management in Contract negotiations with customers.

+ May serve as the proposal manager of a medium sized project.

Presentation Skills

+ Supports or conducts formal presentations to clients and/or management.

**Minimum Requirements**


+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management or other relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


+ Entrants to this position require 8 years engineering, operations/maintenance, M&O, construction, project controls, and/or procurement experience.
