**Job Summary**

AECOM has an IMMEDIATE opportunity for full-time RF Test Engineer to conduct site visits to perform electromagnetic (EM) assessments of ship and shore installations for hazards to ordnance, personnel, and fuel. Position involves measuring and analyzing electromagnetic environments (EMEs) and producing technical reports providing results, conclusions, and recommendations for operating safely in the EME. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Shipboard and DoD Shore Installations. Lifting up to 50 pounds; climbing inclined ladders; regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness. THis role includes RADHAZ Survey conducting research and assessment on Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO). The HERO assessment identifies potential radio frequency (RF) hazards to ordnance operations and results in emission control procedures for minimizing operational restrictions due to HERO. In addition, analyst will use Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Personnel (HERP),assessment identifying areas on a ship or shore facility where RF exposure levels may exceed personnel levels, as well as conduct Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Fuel (HERF) assessment identifying areas on a ship or shore facility where the possibility of accidental ignition of fuel vapors by RF induced arcs during fuel-handling operations in the proximity of transmitting antennas may occur.

**Minimum Requirements**

BS Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, or Mathematic. Equivalent military training and work experience in the electrical engineering field may be considered.

+ 2+ years of experience conducting Radiation Hazard HERO/HERP/HERF assessments of ships and shore facilities; including EME measurements, documentation of ordnance and emitter systems, performing calculations, and writing technical reports.

+ Extensive analytical and technical capabilities for report capture, data review and creation of technical reports, conducting analysis and research.

+ 25% of time spent on travel (12-15 one week trips per year and travel ).

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen , requires active SECRET clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications**

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with Radar Systems, Communication Systems, Ordnance, EM Field Measurements and Testing.

DOD or Radar/ Ordnance experience strongly preferred.
