**Job Summary**

At AECOM we design, build, finance and operate infrastructure assets for governments, businesses and organisations in more than 150 countries. This role is involved with providing the workplaces from which our teams operate across 30 countries in Europe.

We are currently looking to recruit a

**Real Estate Portfolio Manager** . The successful candidate will be part of a team covering real estate and facilities services across the UK & Ireland, Continental Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA).

We are looking for an individual who is likely to have experience in a similar role in a company’s in-house corporate real estate team or with a real estate services firm. They will be skilled at managing strong relationships with stakeholders and decision-makers of different nationalities to understand how the business is changing, anticipate future needs and deliver appropriate real estate solutions.

The candidate will have experience delivering corporate real estate transactions and projects, ideally in international markets. They will be familiar with the process from start to finish and accomplished at setting up project teams and co-ordinating their activities.


+ Working with the Head of Real Estate for UK&I and Continental Europe, get to know both the UK&I and CE businesses by speaking regularly to stakeholders.

+ Assess the business’s needs and devise workplace strategies for individual offices and countries.

+ Coordinate teams of surveyors, in-country brokers, designers, cost consultants, project managers, lawyers, etc. to develop solutions and then deliver them.

+ Create the initial financial analysis for transactions, then assist the Real Estate Finance team in completing them.

+ Draft clear and cogent business cases to gain approval for real estate projects.

+ Execute real estate transactions and manage the design and delivery of workplace solutions.

+ Contribute to the development of workplace policies, guidelines and processes.

+ Keep portfolio data up to date.

+ Support the creation of budgets and then monitor performance against them.

+ Support a strategic review of the way FM services are delivered currently and help to decide what changes to make.

+ Manage the services provided by AECOM’s real estate services partner to the European region.

NB: Location of this role is flexible throughout the UK.


**Minimum Requirements**

To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following:

Solid experience in corporate real estate.

Experienced negotiator of real estate transactions, particularly as the occupier.

Understanding of the fit-out project process.

Analytical approach e.g. understanding utilisation, challenging user requirements.

Attention to detail e.g. heads of terms, lease, business case.

Basic understanding of financial and accounting aspects of real estate transactions.

Well-organised; able to keep many projects moving simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills.

Project management experience desirable.

Confident, clear communicator.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or other related field
