The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Contract administration and oversight of the performance of the work in accordance with plans and specifications

+ Oversight of field inspections performed by 2 project inspectors

+ Oversight and management of contract documentation performed by the Office Engineer

+ Project communications with the contractor, Client and the Operating Facility

Electrical Power Systems: The project replaces (10) 2,000 amp switchgear sections in an industrial setting. The loads are critical, meaning that that the facility is in-service; however there is some redundancy allowable for scheduling down time. Additionally, a new 1,200 KVA engine-generator is being installed, replacing a smaller unit in the same location.

Electrical Controls: A redundant, multiple locations, facility wide electrical control and SCADA system is being implemented in parallel to the existing aged system. The system includes multiple layers of fiber and cable networked devices, remote input/output racks, and programmable logic controllers. Also, the project includes the replacement of approximately 100 Motor Control Centers, each communicating vital data and alarms to the main controller.

Mechanical: Approximately 100 aging motors throughout the facility are being replaced with new, purpose built motors in the 75 to 230 Horsepower range. These will be installed on bases which need to be modified. After installation, full site acceptance testing must be completed on each with mechanical, electrical, and control requirements.

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering or other related field required

+ 10+ years of experience

+ 40 Hour OSHA Certifications required

+ Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience in electrical controls systems desirable

+ Experience working on operating facilities

+ Excellent safety record and ability to progress contract work with challenging contractors and clients
