**Job Summary**

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the Southfield, MI office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be working as part of the Midwest B+P Engineering Team and will report to the Electrical Engineering Manager located in the Grand Rapids Office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Develop/design solutions for a variety of technical problems of moderate to extreme scope and complexity across the electrical engineering discipline

+ Help develop electrical scope and pricing for various projects

+ Illustrate a strong understanding of distribution solutions, core and shell development, as well as aesthetic lighting considerations for built spaces

+ Quickly develop and vet potential solutions at the SD level, with an eye to growing it through the end of the construction document phase, working with the changes inevitable in our industry

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

+ 5+ years of consulting engineering experience

+ Registered Professional Engineer in Michigan or ability to obtain by reciprocity

+ Healthcare, wastewater, higher education and federal projects design experience

+ Relevant experience in electrical and fire alarm design and the preparation of construction documents (including specifications)

+ Competent in all conventional aspects of electrical and fire alarm engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard electrical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria

+ Knowledge of and experience with high performance and sustainable building practices

+ Demonstrates creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills (with both internal and external clients)

+ AutoCAD

+ Understanding of typical codes such as the NEC with local amendments

+ Familiarity with UFC, Design Build delivery / other alternate delivery methods, and various market sectors such as Wastewater, DoD/Federal, higher education and /or Healthcare

+ Possess the ability to provide in house and third party reviews at a jurisdictional level

+ Must be familiar with field conditions and able to participate and/or lead facility assessment teams

+ Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Revit experience

+ LEED accredited

+ Wastewater controls systems design experience
