**Job Summary**

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our San Francisco, CA team.

Responsibilities include:

+ Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

+ Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions

+ Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices, uses advanced techniques, and has responsibility over finished plans, specifications, and material approval

+ Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, develops details and edits specifications

+ Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations

+ Coordinates with consultants and subcontractors as needed

+ Interprets design

+ Works in partnership with the design team to create a set design and technical documents

+ Oversees and gives direction to junior staff as needed

+ Works on project architect teams of 5 to 10 people

+ Leads the development of contract documents

+ Provides input and editing of construction specifications

+ Coordinates with public jurisdictions and consultants

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Licensed Architect in the State of California or able to obtain within 1 year

+ Capable of project leadership across multiple markets and project types

+ 10+ years experience in the design and management of large projects, Healthcare and corporate/commercial experience preferred

+ Experience in overall client and project management including program development, proposal/ fee development, design management, project documentation management and construction administration management

+ Collaborator and mentor

+ Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 15+ years' experience preferred

+ Knowledge and experience using AutoCADD, Revit, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word

+ Projects Experience in all areas of Healthcare Architecture: Acute Care Hospitals (new and renovation), Out Patient Clinic's and Medical Office Buildings

+ Experience in all areas of corporate/commercial projects working with real estate brokers, developers, and corporate clients
