Showroom Sales Ops Coordinator - Geiger-17393

Position Description:

You can make a salary. Or you can make a difference. Or you can work as a Showroom Sales Ops Coordinator at Geiger and make both.

About this Opportunity
As a Showroom Sales Ops Coordinator working at Geiger, you'll manage and direct all administrative support functions necessary to efficiently operate a showroom, ensuring that products, services, and corporate capabilities are represented in a professional manner to the marketplace. You will support sales efforts by providing layouts, specifications, pricing information, isometric/perspective drawings, and product information for offices and ancillary product to designers, dealers, end users, and the Sales Team.

What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you...

  • Aggressively work to ensure that the showroom remains a unique and unusual sales tool within the industry and does not deteriorate into mediocrity.
  • Ensure the administration of policies and procedures, including: coordinating the support of various Sales programs (i.e., Loaner Chair Program) and mock-ups; coordinating the approval process and logistics for client visits; and developing a policy and procedure manual and an accountability process outlining guidelines for the use and maintenance of the showroom.
  • Manage all facility functions, including: coordinating with the corporate Facilities group for all product changes taking place within the display area; performing regular audits on the showroom space to ensure that all product displays, exhibits, fabric samples, and AV tools conform to the standards; maintaining accurate records of all showroom visitors and providing regular reports; identifying and developing competitive resources for maintenance contracts, cleaning contracts, carpet installations, and art galleries; and working closely with the local Sales Team and Sales Management relative to the function of the showroom in local sales activities.
  • Manage events, including: assisting with the sales process by giving facility tours and product presentations to visiting clients, the A D community, dealers, and students; and functioning as the key local liaison with the Events Management Department during the execution of the annual industry event that focuses on the showroom.
  • Participate in Sales training activities related to product application.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Prepare, maintain, and audit facility budgets and manage petty cash and accounts payable for showroom activities.
  • Provide specification modeling support that leads to a competitive advantage and support other Product Application Specialists by providing specs and drawings for simple or standard layouts of casegoods, seating, and/or tables. You'll also provide specials for simple seating and table requests.
  • Respond to other needs as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Take responsibility for confidential correspondence, reports, files, and data transmission for Sales Management.
  • Track all facility equipment and work with Corporate for the leasing, maintenance, and purchasing of equipment and with local vendors for equipment maintenance.
  • Understand and help drive the differentiating design/applications features of Geiger casegoods, textiles, seating, and table product lines.

Sound Like You?
You might be just who we’re looking for if you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architectural Interior Design from an accredited program.
  • Two years of experience in Interior Design or a related business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills and the ability to relate well with all levels and diverse types of employees, customers, and vendors in formal and informal settings.
  • Well-developed planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to handle conflicting pressures and deadlines.
  • The ability to work without close supervision.
  • The ability to work as a team player with a service-oriented attitude.
  • The ability to handle confidential information judiciously.
  • Contract furniture experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of product specification and drawing software (Revit or AutoCad). Vectorworks experience is ideal.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • The ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Geiger office environment. You'll also need proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
