**Job Summary**

AECOM is seeking a Site Superintendent to be based in our Darlington, Ontario, Canada location.

The Construction Management job family is responsible for the organization, direction, supervision and

coordination of construction activities on a project site as delineated in the applicable PEP’s, Site Specific Safety

Plan and PXP.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

Construction Supervision

+ Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.

+ Responsible for the satisfactory conduct of all construction operations and task accomplishment in an economical, efficient and timely manner on a project.

+ Monitors craft performance relative to budget, schedules and deadlines.

+ Monitors manpower utilization, effectiveness and productivity.

+ Facilitates the efficient use of personnel and equipment.

+ Implements and enforces work rules.

+ Coordinates movement and use of equipment and supplies with Material Management.

+ Requisitions tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and necessary lead times.

+ Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, drawings and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities.

+ Determines and recommends solutions to construction and architectural discrepancies.

+ Inspects fieldwork to evaluate construction progress, efficiency of operation and cost control.

+ Responsible for overall project workmanship and goal attainment.

Construction Management:

+ Implements the construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.

+ Ensures timely and efficient execution of fieldwork.

+ Acts as the primary client contact for all construction project field activities.

+ Ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.

+ Functions as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.

+ Responsible to a member of the Project Managers job family or the Operations Manager job family.

General Superintendent Level Specific Responsibilities:

+ Under limited direction, has responsibility for all construction activities on a project. Reports to the Construction Manager and is thoroughly knowledgeable and fully accountable with considerable latitude in decision making. Interprets, organizes and coordinates work assignments.

**Minimum Requirements**


+ High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent

+ 8 years field construction supervision experience as a power plant maintenance or construction superintendent, site manager or craft manager

+ 2 years experience in the Assistant General Superintendent position or demonstrated equivalent in nuclear power plant maintenance, system modification construction and/or building within the past 5 years is required

+ Field construction experience with direct hire execution of work

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience with successful delivery of Nuclear fixed price construction projects is preferred within budget and on schedule

+ 15 years construction experience as a power plant maintenance or construction superintendent, site manager or craft manager

+ 5 years experience as a site superintendent in nuclear power plant maintenance, system modification construction and/or building construction experience within the past 5 years.

+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

+ This position does not include sponsorship for United States or Canada work authorization.

+ Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

+ Per diem support is available for this position.
