Cox Media Group-Houston and its three radio stations: KGLK, KKBQ, KTHT along with Local Solutions Digital Agency, is hiring for highly motivated full-time Account Executives. As an Account Executive for Cox Media Group, you will be an important part of a dynamic sales organization and enjoy excellent earning potential with all of the tools necessary to get the job done for one of our great stations: KGLK, The Eagle – “Houston’s Classic Rock”, KKBQ, “The New 93Q Country”, and KTHT, “Country Legends”, and Local Solutions, a Cox Media Group vibrant digital agency.

Responsibilities

Our Account Executives work closely with local business owners and decision makers to create and implement advertising and marketing campaigns using each of the station’s resources, including but not limited to: commercials, promotions, event marketing, digital marketing, SEO/SEM, websites, directory building, marketing analysis, creative problem solving and account development sessions.  You will develop long-term relationships with the company’s customers, uncover their marketing challenges and develop solutions that help them to meet their goals and generate revenue.  Candidates must be able to work independently while taking direction from the sales management team.  The position requires the ability to talk in front of individuals or groups in a selling capacity.  You will need to prospect new business, overcome objections and solve problems to get the job done. 


Qualifications



  • Three years minimum experience selling media and/or sponsorships and integrated digital marketing campaigns. 
  • Our Account Executives must believe in accountability, dedication, professionalism, honesty, communication, resources & integrity.  
  • Google ADWORDS certified a plus. 
  • Applicants should have a solid working understanding of computers with some experience using word processing software, spreadsheets and database management software such as Microsoft Office.
