JOB TITLE: Account Manager -- Office Based

REPORTS TO: UKAM Account Team Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

To provide Account Management support to a large portfolio of clients, with the aim of improving the client experience, strengthening client relationships and increasing client retention

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Account Management support through the team email inbox ensuring improved client experience and retention
  • Develop a proactive communication plan for the defined portfolio
  • Develop account plans to understand clients requirements and future business needs
  • Provide clear direction in decision making and crisis situations, calling together colleagues in support of moving forward and/or resolution as appropriate
  • Build, maintain and develop strong internal networks in support of the above
  • To identify additional revenue opportunities for ADP

KEY DUTIES/TASKS:

  • Manage the team inbox and provide support to our clients and other ADP departments
  • Profiling existing and new clients to understand their business needs and future requirements and document using client account plans
  • Identify, plan and action communication projects to reach larger numbers of clients
  • Understand the clients business goals and growth strategy and alignment of ADP solutions as appropriate
  • Engagement with client mobilizers
  • Identify revenue opportunities and work with the various departments to bring to fruition
  • Drive engagement with different operational teams to improve client experience
  • Act as a conduit/facilitator between the Client and internal ADP departments
  • Always seeking best practice and continuous improvement
  • Liaise with relevant parties on root cause analysis, generating and implementing continuous improvement plans to ensure corrective actions/service improvements are engaged
  • Review client experience, retention and improvements against NPS
  • Contract management and associated queries
  • Control of aged debtors and account resolution
  • Leadership of projects as directed by the team manager
  • Develop an effective working relationships with the relevant Heads of Departments, Team Managers and their direct reports
  • Perform other duties as required and as the Business dictates
  • Drive open and honest communication
  • Tracking own performance against set goals, focus on delivering and exceeding goals
  • Develop and drive own PDP

 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the Account Management Team Manager with no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Will be expected to be self-motivated and work under own initiative for day to day tasks in line with overall management guidance.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Skills required:

  • Previous Account Management experience of engaging at a senior level (desireable)
  • Must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and commercial awareness
  • Professional approach in both attitude and personal presentation are essential
  • First class oral and written communication skills
  • Customer focused with stress tolerance and flexibility to ensure delivery in a high profile service environment
  • Ability to establish mutual, trusting and professional relationships
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Personal drive to deliver results and meet objectives
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Ability to provide direction and leadership -- creating a clear understanding of what needs to be achieved and providing necessary guidance
  • Ability to think outside the process in approaching challenges and/or suggesting improvements
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills are required, with the confidence to deliver at Director level
  • Ability to analyse, draw conclusions and create recommendations
  • Able to flex communication style to reflect different audiences/situations
  • Deals with emotions effectively -- defuses them to focus on the facts
  • Excellent time management and ability to organise/prioritise
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Must be able to demonstrate the competencies as detailed in the Leadership Expectations for Individual Contributors

Knowledge required:

  • Prior knowledge of Account Management is an advantage
  • Knowledge of HR & Payroll drivers and processes is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Net Promoter System is an advantage
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and working practices within a bureau environment is desirable.

Experience required:

  • Applicants will have experience in Account Management gained within a technology service company (Payroll, HRIS, SaaS, IT, Telecoms) desireable
  • Experience of engaging at a senior level
  • Communication management across a large portfolio of clients

 

OTHER:

  • The role will be almost entirely office based, but the ability to travel to clients sites/other office locations when required is essential
  • Car owner with full driving licence
