Introduction :

As a member of the Digitial Automation CoE, the RPA Developer's objective is the technical development, configuration, deployment, and support of ADP's internal Robotic Process Automation solutions using Blue Prism.

Job title: RPA Developer

BU: ADP ESI Service Delivery

Reports to: RPA Leader

Mission : In collaboration with Project and Operational leaders, and team members across ESI, mission is to build and deliver Robotic Process Automation solutions, leveraging Blue Prism to deliver a steady client experience focused on speed and accuracy.


RPA Developer should :

  • Have sound understanding of Development, SIT, UAT and Deployment phases covering the entire Application Development Life Cycle
  • Assessing functional and technical feasibility of new processes that need to be automated
  • Analysing, and understanding the business processes in detail. Converting requirements to automation-specific design and solutions documents
  • Developing new RPA solutions and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
  • Designing automation solutions in accordance with standard RPA design principles
  • Providing architectural control over solution designs to ensure consistency and continuity across the company's delivery teams.
  • Creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases
  • Supporting the Operations Teams during the UAT and rollout phases
  • Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
  • Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
  • Mentoring colleagues through RPA training -- providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques.


The minimum requirements for technical skills are as follows:

  • Previous experience of development and support on multiple RPA projects
  • Hands-on experience on Blue Prism, or UI Path
  • Comprehensive understanding of development (.NET, Windows, Web Services, APIs)
  • Language: English, Written and Verbal. Any additional language is a plus.


  • Open-minded, and can adapt quickly to new priorities
  • Involvement and sense of commitment: Principals are clients of major ADP companies and cannot accept any change to deadlines, nor to quality standards
  • Ability to communicate clearly, good teamwork, able to present technical details
  • The ability to methodically solve business and technical problems using innovative and well-planned approaches
  • The skills to design and author well documented, supportable and extensible developments and the ability to support and maintain the work of colleagues
  • An ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, with an enquiring mind
  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team.

Interpersonal skills:

  • Effective communication skills - written and spoken English, with diverse audiences
  • Ability to organise and adapt to challenging & time critical situations
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical skills and risk assessment skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Independent, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Dynamic and Responsive.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computers, or related technical degree, or equivalent experience.
