Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Developer for our Palo Alto, CA office location to work in an engineering team of architect, experienced developers, data scientists, designer taking on challenges posed by the SAP customers and product units.


Expectations and Tasks: Implement state of the art application for deriving value from our customers' real business challenge. Work as a part of engineering team solving and creating algorithms, which can be further used by enterprise applications. Create excellence both in terms of results quality and system scalability through continuous evaluation, analysis and refinement of the system implementation. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Software Engineering and apply it to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. Design best architecture and select the most appropriate modeling techniques and data visualization for big data analysis. Capture customer requirements and translate them into software specifications. Deliver the assigned tasks on time, ensure high quality and performance. Work in an agile development environment which requires the individual to be self-driven, take decisions independently and be flexible in order to cater to demand. Work with customers, partners and internal teams to enhance the solution and systems, and troubleshoot data issues. Iteratively test, refine and improve the models.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years of experience required. Will accept a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.


Work Experience: Experience must involve two years with the following: Work in creative, rapid prototype, and agile development environment; cloud based application development with exposure to architecture design; SQL, relational databases, database concepts, dimensional modeling and database design; and experience in persistence framework (Spring). Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript; one of following framework: SAP UI5, AngularJS, Node.js. Administration of cloud infrastructure like AWS. Large-scale multi-tenant on-demand application scalability and performance optimization. Experience in search engine such as Lucene.
