Director of Alliances

The Director, Alliances works with VP's, and DVP of Alliances to implement and execute the defined ADP alliance strategy within their assigned area(s) of responsibility managing a partner portfolio or a team of Channel Manager. Build relationships with partners, to drive incremental new business for ADP. Aligns and collaborates with cross BU Strategy, Sales and Management to drive new alliance strategies. Reports on the success of each relationship and works to make improvements where necessary. Works with partners and ADP marketing to identify and execute on opportunities to promote the alliance. Train the alliance partners and ADP on the value proposition and our products and services. Build awareness throughout ADP and our partner organization by communicating field success and best practices. Structure and formalize programs and management.


  • Create and define strategic partner strategy, including cooperative alignment, product and integration strategy
  • Work and align with BU Strategy, Finance, Legal, Product and Sales to execute partner strategy
  • Supports sales by driving and establishing field level connections with their external partners
  • Driving incremental revenue, in assigned area, through partner ecosystem of System Integrators, consultants, VARS, associations and buying groups.
  • Contributes to current year sales and overall ADP growth strategy.
  • Meets or exceeds assigned quota for alliance generated business
  • Creates and updates quarterly strategic plan regarding Partners within their assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develops a pipeline of opportunities through direct contact or from leads generated by the field.
  • Engages partners at the senior level and helps to select and pursue opportunities with maximum potential.
  • Promotes and trains partners on ADP products that are applicable to their segment Identifies, coordinates, and tracks leads through partners and works with field sales team to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Supports existing partners within their area via shared goals and joint activities.
  • Responsible for aligning with BU Marketing and Sales Operations on marketing and sales efforts of partners working with ADP sales teams.
  • Provide quarterly updates to ADP Service, GMs and Operations management to build awareness
  • Builds relationships with partners and ADP Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Legal.
  • Works with corporate and Cross BU legal where necessary to develop and sign agreements with partners.

This position can be worked from a virtual home office. Travel up to 45% required. Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent in experience.4-7+ years' experience in sales, business development, channel marketing, product marketing and/or distribution channels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in education and experience
