ADP is hiring a Director, Participant Communications. In this role you will be responsible for the development and distribution of participant communications. This person plans and creates strategies, tactics, activities and materials to drive employee/participant activation, education, and engagement with their employer's 401(k) plan. This position develops and manages content with the goal of increasing the effectiveness of employee/participant communications that drives desired behavior. The Director, Participant Communications, manages the timing and flow of communications to employees/participants and business partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the comprehensive  communications strategy and supporting programs.
  • Design a communication process and execute a plan to ensure consistent reinforcement of the strategy and key drivers supporting it.
  • Develop clear and concise communication plans, draft communications, coordinate review and approval processes and seek legal review.
  • Partner with Education Team, Relationship Managers, Regional Channel Managers, and Participant Services team, to create innovative communication options that integrate messaging, graphics and branding to drive employee/participant desired behaviors. Leverage various communication vehicles to create energy, momentum and awareness.
  • Provide guidance to individuals and project teams to produce effective client communications strategies.
  • Conceptualize and develop new and interesting methods of communicating with employees/participants.
  • Introduce industry best practices and recommendations for employee/participant communications.
  • Coordinates and manages communication through the lifecycle (design, development, testing, implementation and production). Ensure that new and consistent information (article links, stories and events) is developed regularly.
  • Gathers information from end users to evaluate objectives and goals. Makes recommendations.
  • Track and measure the level of effectiveness of all communications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in a fast paced environment managing the overall planning and delivery of internal communications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Experience with participant retirement / 401k marketing 
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering for communication plans
  • Ability to facilitate elaboration sessions with subject matter experts
  • Knowledge of advanced concepts, and principles of adult learning, practices and techniques of writing and developing communication and documentation materials.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects while meeting tight deadlines
  • A solid command of business communication tools and strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational & teamwork skills.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective analytical skills.
  • Effective PC skills including desktop publishing, Word, PowerPoint.
