Job Description - Director of Quality Assurance

The Director of Quality Assurance leads a team of Quality Assurance professionals toward achieving a common goal of consistently delivering high quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to a team of onshore and offshore Quality Assurance professionals.
  • Develops a high-performing Quality Assurance team through training, knowledge sharing, team collaboration and professional development opportunities.
  • Plans and organizes work queue to achieve maximum productivity, efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborates with Product Development teams to establish and implement Quality Best Practices across all teams including Federated country teams.
  • Defines and implements test planning, test automation and test execution processes to assure each Production release is delivered with high quality.
  • Collaborates with HCM and downstream partners to coordinate and perform E2E certification testing as required.
  • Establishes Entry and Exit criteria for the promotion of software releases to QA, Staging and Production environments.
  • Coordinates and executes the promotion of software releases to QA, Staging and Production environments.
  • Defines quality metrics, gathers and analyzes data and implements process improvements based on analysis results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or above in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in the Quality Assurance, software development and test automation field
  • 3+ years of management experience including matrix management
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills
  • Experience working in a large international development team environment
  • Solid understanding of Agile and Continuous Deployment principles
  • Project Management & Coordination experience
  • Experience working with payroll software that supports multi-state tax laws, international payroll, quarterly and year-end processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of statutory and regulatory tax rules and business needs for a payroll system
  • Demonstrated accomplishment as a payroll professional through obtainment of current CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification from the American Payroll Association
