Cox Media Group Orlando, consisting of WFTV TV (ABC), WRDQ (Ind), News 96.5 WDBO, K92.3, Star 94.5, Power 95.3, WMMO 98.9, ESPN 580, 107.3 Solo Exitos, and the Cox Events Group, has an immediate opportunity for a Digital Executive Producer who will assist the Digital Content Manager in overseeing the market group’s strategy and execution of digital coverage on all platforms.  

Previous success growing website, mobile and social media views/visits/engagement is essential, and experience improving performance from metrics is a must.  

This position includes having a hands-on role in creating and posting content to the station’s digital and social media platforms, sending out breaking email, text and push alerts. 

  • Supervise the day-to-day workflow of digital producers and newsroom staff creating content for social media platforms, websites, mobile sites, apps and other digital platforms that compliments and expands the broadcast material
  • Execute daily strategy laid out by Digital Content Manager and News Director
  • Review web videos, stories and social media posts to ensure traffic optimization (headlines, teases, SEO, page titles, etc.)
  • Utilize live analytics from Chartbeat to respond to traffic drivers, identify traffic holes and opportunities for swift response
  • Understand and use metrics to maximize growth on all platforms
  • Copy-edit/monitor posting by digital staff
  • Create and post content to station website, apps, newsletters, and social platforms
  • Effectively market station’s on-air daily news coverage on digital and social media
  • Coordinate user-generated content to stations’ digital platforms
  • Monitor OTT and artificial intelligence efforts


  • Must have strong writing skills as well as an understanding of breaking email, text and push alerts.  
  • Strong knowledge of metrics and social media platforms is crucial.  Must be familiar with basic HTML coding and use of a publishing system.  
  • Must also have working knowledge of Photo Shop and the use of video editing software.
  • Five years’ experience working in a digital newsroom environment.
