About this Opportunity
As a Healthcare Applications Design Strategist, you'll serve Herman Miller customers and dealers in support of growing the Herman Miller Group's sales within the healthcare vertical market, categorized into four key areas of focus: dealer enablement, sales support/selling, application/product knowledge, and dealer execution support on strategic accounts. You will serve as an integral member of the market facing team to grow mindshare in the healthcare vertical as a value-add resource in product/application, and enable local execution through healthcare knowledge, dealer support, and interaction with end users, architects, designers, dealers, and market influencers.

  • Actively participate in team-based selling activities when appropriate.
  • Assist in developing and executing dealer strategies to effectively cover non-strategic account business and make sales calls on new and existing accounts in the healthcare vertical market.
  • Collaborate with Dealer Designers, Sales, and Leadership to grow market share in assigned locations.
  • Collect customer and dealer feedback to enhance Herman Miller program and product offerings.
  • Conduct all sales activities and processes within the parameters of the Herman Miller sales process, utilizing corporate tools and resources.
  • Manage the dealer training schedule to ensure the Dealer Healthcare Team is properly informed on Herman Miller products, programs, and processes.
  • Proactively manage Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) information to inform the overall organization funnel and forecast.
  • Strategize with the Regional Sales Leader to prioritize the chart of work in each market.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Interior Design.
  • Three years of experience in healthcare sales, interior design, facility management, or similar experience. Extensive knowledge of Herman Miller Healthcare, Nemschoff, and Herman Miller products is preferred.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including professional presentation and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to self-manage and work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently. You must also be highly organized.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully coordinate efforts of internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrated high personal performance standards, the desire and ability to continuously learn, and a results-oriented work style. 
  • The ability to gain a high level of confidence from multiple interdisciplinary teams.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment at all levels of the organization and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers and business partners based on mutual respect and trust.
  • A willingness and ability to travel both locally and regionally as needed.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
