Local HR Services Consultant – Leave of Absence Administrator (North America)

This position is responsible for the execution of HR processes and transactions according to documented procedures within Global Service Delivery. The main function of this role is to focus on cooperation and consultation with HR Business Partners and other Consultants. This role will also manage the daily workload of the specified team. Has good overview/knowledge of cross country processes. Additional responsibilities are required such as supporting global/regional projects.

 

Leave of Absence Coordinator Administration Responsibilities

The SAP North American Leave of Absence Team supports all leave of absence cases (i.e. Short Term and Long Term Disability, Family Medical Leave, Military leave) and workers’ compensation claims. This highly engaged employee will effectively coordinate all cases/claims to include general administration, comprehensive case management and program compliance. Performs exemplary customer service while working closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners, Employee Relations representatives and our third party Leave of Absence vendors. The position will also help the team roll out new SAP technology (Employee Central) which captures the leave of absence for manager’s visibility.

 

Ensures appropriate HR Process Execution:

  • Execution of HR processes & transaction according to SLA. Keeping updated all documents (e.g. handbooks) necessary for the execution of HR processes. Ensure data integrity for key deadlines. Ensure information flow with all departments and functions in SAP, which are involved in HR processes execution. Use HR tools and systems to appropriately document and complete assigned work. Work with both internal and external contacts to assist in process completion or escalation, such as Legal, IT, and vendors. Seeks feedback from customers to identify opportunities for improvement. Trains new people within the internal team or any external colleague and proactively shares the knowledge and experience with others. 

 

Drive for Improvement & Innovation:

  • Provides input on training needs and content, supports other HR colleagues in countries with the knowledge of responsible processes. Project mgt responsibilities to support the migration of new processes and technology or process enhancements. Works with process owners to identify the project scope, owning the project plan, coordinating with IT on technology updates, testing, training, communication to all impacted HRSC teams and on-going support. Understands scope of process work and the SLAs for each service and is responsible for the tracking of SLAs for monthly reporting, ensures all process maps are current, accurate and complete. Takes on responsibility for producing high quality solutions. Manage IT service change requests. Generates new ideas and breakthrough initiatives

  • Proven ability to engage participants in a virtual environment & facilitate/deliver enablement sessions

  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively with a strong focus on execution
  • Knowledge of HR – related system and tools an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to report, analyze and interpret data & initiate corrective action
  • Reporting and continuous measurement of impact
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Participate in strategic HR projects as required
  • End to end process management
  • 0 < 3 years HR or customer experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience, Master’s student is a plus

 

Short Term or Long Term Disability experience is required
