The Project Management function is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of assigned learning projects and initiatives within the Enterprise Learning GESi Learning and Performance group. Has overall responsibility for meeting project objectives within the committed timelines and budget. Consults with stakeholders, BU Learning teams to fully scope the business requirements of each project/initiative. Develops comprehensive project plans.

The successful Project Manager will:

  • oversee the team assigned to their projects and work collaboratively with management to ensure effective oversight of associates.
  • provide performance feedback to managers on associates assigned to projects
  • provide complex project leadership and/or lead multiple projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Project Scope/Management: Identifies and communicates project objectives, measurement criteria, and creates project plans, which include major project milestones and task dependencies. Manages projects to ensure objectives are achieved according to measurement criteria. Upon project completion, reports on results and lessons learned, as applicable, for continuous process improvement. Builds and maintains relationships, working closely with Relationship Manager and Resource Manager.

Project Scheduling: Identifies project milestones and tasks, including dependencies, and defines timeliness needed for task accomplishment. Communicates project schedule to team members and has accountability for ensuring the project remains on schedule. Proactively communicates schedule changes as needed to all stakeholders.

Cost Management: Ensures project costs are in alignment with project budget and manages the budget throughout the life of the project. Communicates to stakeholders potential cost increases and obtains the applicable level of approval for additional project costs prior to the occurrence of the event(s).

Issue/Risk/Change Management: Manages internal and external stakeholders through project changes. Acts as a point of escalation for team members when issues arise that have the potential to inhibit completion of project tasks in the defined timeliness. Accountable for driving closure of all escalated issues either independently or through engagement of other stakeholders. Analyzes project activities and status to identify potential risks. Proactively communicates to stakeholder's project risks and their impact to project components and the overall project. Develops, gains stakeholder buy-in, and implements risk mitigation strategies.

Administrative: Conducts meetings, conference calls, etc. with internal and external project team members. Provides status reporting.

Coach/mentor team members. Mentor new associates on understanding Learning & Performance processes, tools, templates, scope of offering.

Technical & process improvement. Clarizen (PM tool) administration and management. Help on defining, improving and updating PMO processes, standards. Maintaining templates & project documentation complete and up to date

Analytics & Insights. Project portfolio analytics (reporting & prioritization). Project controls (keep everyone compliant with rules, processes, standards)

 

Requirements:

  • English proficiency is mandatory
  • Second language preferred (Dutch, German, Portuguese, French, Italian, Spanish)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred by not required; however an individual is expected to actively pursue achievement of a certifiaction through the tenure with the role
  • 3 -- 5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, balancing diplomacy and tact with assertiveness
  • Very good prioritization skills
  • Strong customer centric approach
  • Analytical and process oriented -- strives to do the "right thing" not just the "easy thing"
  • Energetic, determined, positive, goal focused and consistent -- even under pressure; impactul
  • Builds trust and demonstrates integrity in all circumstances

  

The person will comply with Romanian legislation and will follow normal working schedule based on our time zone (9:00-18:00).
