Manage sales team of Account Executives and Sales Assistants in order to maximize advertising dollars and shares generated for all client television stations by means of contact with advertising agencies in the local territory.

Responsibilities

Recruit, hire, manage, retain, and motivate top quality Account Executives.
Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with Cox Rep management, client station management, and the buying community.
Establish dollar and share goals for each station and ensure achievement of these goals by you and your sales team.
Identify problems and provide solutions; manage team expenses, limit discrepancies and credits, ensure team achievement of all goals and objectives, manage duties of station specialists, ensure effective sales of all station inventory including the internet and special opportunities, get business back from local to national, and achieve results in new business development.
Provide needed reports within time frame parameters.
The Sales Manager also serves as the Political Account Executive for the station group.


Qualifications


Four year college degree preferred. Minimum of four years' experience as National Rep Account Executive and/or management required.
Must be able to: Attract and maintain key talent; organize, prioritize, and multi-task; build and develop strong business relationships; and work well in pressure situations.
Must also possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills; have a strong sense of urgency; and show attention to detail with excellent follow-through.
Needs to be an out of the box, creative thinker with a passion for sales and success
