Marketing Manager, Cottage Rental Agency

Satisfies the Cottage Rental Agency’s annual total room night and revenue goals through successful campaigns in the areas of marketing, advertising, public relations, sponsorships and special events. Provides leadership and direction in the marketing disciplines while maintaining Cottage Rental Agency’s brand image by creating quality marketing and public relations programs that reinforces CRA’s brand image.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.    Works with the Director of Marketing to plan and implement an annual budget and departmental plan for all marketing and public relations programs to include but not limited to; digital, social media, print, website and email. 

2.    Plans, executes and evaluates all annual marketing programs and campaigns that drive room nights, reinforces the property's brand image and creates positive awareness for the Cottage Rental Agency. Supervises and implements the details of these programs to completion.

3.    Works with our graphics manager to maintain continuity of image and quality of production of all marketing materials.

4.    Plans campaigns that include but are not limited to: Direct Response (Direct Mail campaign, e-mail program); Electronic Broadcast; Major Print Collateral Internet (CRA website, E-newsletter, E-blasts), social media. 

5.    Leads and facilitates the effort of on-lining and off-lining of CRA rental units on the website and certain OTAs like VRBO.

6.    Creates concepts for lodging packages as needed to drive room nights.

7.    Works with our graphics manager to maintain an up-to-date image library for marketing and PR purposes. 

8.    Leverages all in-property cross-promotional and messaging opportunities.

9.    Maintains the property's Charitable Donation Program by responding to all charity requests and producing a monthly tracking report. Administers CRA’s annual Comp Pool.

10.    Participates in weekly Ops Meetings, Senior Leadership Committee Meetings and team marketing meetings. 

11.    Develops and maintains a productive working relationship between CRA and Seaside Community Development Council

13.    Works with the Director of Marketing to contract professional services as needed and as budget allows, to implement marketing programs.

14.    Works with Director of Marketing to plan, implement and evaluate the annual local, regional and national media plan by established deadlines.

15.    Archives all advertising programs with Advertising Notebooks.

16.    Informs Reservations of all advertising and promotional programs.

17.    Works with revenue management team to understand booking trends and place marketing efforts based on need period outlined by revenue management. 

18.    Maintains accurate tracking and reporting of unique 800 numbers for marketing programs.

19.    production of monthly 800, URL, Source Code and Booking reports as tools for the evaluation of advertising/marketing efforts.

20.    Maintains active presence in professional associations like Visit South Walton, Chamber of Commerce, etc).

21.    Leads CRA sponsorship efforts in concert with Cottage Rental Agency team to augment the property's marketing budget with in-kind contributions and provide the property with extended marketing and PR exposure.

22.    Hosts one-on-one and group media visits to gain favorable local, regional and national media exposure.

23.    Keeps the property sponsorship relationships active and productive, tracking deliverables owed to us for maximum earned media return.


24.    Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience:             

High School diploma or its equivalent is required. College education in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising or Communication Arts is preferred. The individual must have at least five years experience in any combination of media buying, public relations, marketing and/or database marketing.

Language Skills:             

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:             

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:             

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills :             

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Various Media Players, social media platforms, Constant Contact, VRBO Website, HyperGenius (web content control), Data base Software and use of HTML Coding.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 

Valid driver’s license with at least three (3) years driving experience and must meet company’s driving requirements.

Other Skills and Abilities:             

Individual must possess the ability to articulate and communicate in a professional manner and in fluent English. The individual must possess the ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and multi-task. The individual must display a positive, team-oriented, can-do attitude. The individual must be able to confidently and professionally interface with executive level staff on a regular basis. 

Other Qualifications:             

Regular attendance in conformance with property standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Upon employment, this position is required to fully comply with property rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of property facilities. Employees who violate property rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Cottage Rental Agency is open and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employee may be needed for some nights and weekends based on event schedule and needs.
