As a Payroll Specialist at ADP, you can make it happen for clients large and small by ensuring their payroll gets done right -- on time, the first time. You get to provide the expert support that makes our solutions stand out in an increasingly competitive global marketplace.
 
NOTE: This is a Part-time position offering 30 hrs per week, with a schedule that would require you to work both Monday and Friday on a weekly basis, along with the flexibility to work two of the three other days (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) on a rotational basis depending on demand. Your schedule is generally provided 4 week in advance.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collects and organizes payroll input data received in accordance to the client payroll schedule agreement
* Inputs / imports payroll data for clients
* Verifies that all payroll input data required for processing has been received and keyed
* Refers client concerns and requests to the appropriate Payroll Coordinator/Specialist or Service Manager, maintaining timely and accurate communications with the team
* Calculates gross to net pay, as required
* Audits and Balances accounts prior to completion
* Process Year End adjustment runs for clients in preparation of tax form production
* Creates and maintains various reports for clients as required under our Service Agreement
* Electronic filing of completed and verified payroll input and documentation for clients
* Completes projects and provides information to Management team, as required
* Supports fellow team members nationally as per availability
* Partners with Payroll Coordinator/Specialist to streamline client data to improve efficiencies and accuracy of payroll
 
COMPETENCIES
 
Education:
 
* College related education (business, accounting, office admin or PCP) is an asset
 
 
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Required:
 
* 1 or 2 years relevant business experience
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* Detail oriented, high accuracy with figures
* Accurate data entry skills (numeric and alpha-numeric)
 

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Preferred
 
* Payroll experience an asset
* PCP certification in progress an asset
* General understanding of payroll administration, legislation an asset.

* Good communication skills, both verbal and written and strong customer service skills
