ADP is hiring a Product Manager for our Smart Connect, API and Marketplace Integrations Team. In this position, you'll be responsible for combining technical knowledge, business acumen and product strategy to ensure the development and execution of the product is in line with the product roadmap and vision. You'll also be responsible for market and competitive analysis activities that help drive market requirements and deliver innovative product solutions to delight our customers and help support their needs. You'll help lead product launch activities and ongoing market-facing activity.

This role will help lead game-changing API and Marketplace integration efforts in support of the ADP Partner Connect (for ERP partners) and API Marketplace initiatives empowering our SmartComplianceSM solution. SmartCompliance is a web-based product that offers innovative and first to market solutions to automate Tax, Tax Credits, Wage Payments, Wage Garnishment, Wage Verification, Unemployment Compensation, W2 Management and Procure-to-Pay product lines.

  • Support the Product Management Leadership's strategy by articulating the vision and mission of the product roadmap, including implementation and prioritization.
  • As Product Manager/Owner, manage execution for a specific product from product definition and planning through concept, development to release.
  • Develop user stories and requirements while evaluating their potential and practicality by analyzing market and customer needs.
  • Serve as the central resource and facilitator with design, development, user testing and marketing as the product(s) move through the development process.
  • Act as user champion when coordinating product development with business stakeholder and align all development activity with business goals and priorities.
  • Manage the product backlog (grooming, prioritization and refinement), working day-to-day with the product team to clarify requirements, balance business needs with technical requirements, and recommend alternative technical approaches to meet design requirements when needed.
  • Collaborate with business, marketing, sales and service on the development of product positioning, demo design, training courses, sales collateral, etc. to ensure that business objectives are achieved.


  • 3+ years of experience in a product management role from discovery to requirements definition and launch for API or web solutions in an agile environment.
  • A proven track record of managing API or web-based solutions for B2B and/or B2C solutions.
  • Passion for great user experience, including the experience of engineers integrating with our API's
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and engineering teams to accomplish project goals.
  • Ability to managing multiple stakeholders on the best course of action for the product.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell innovative ideas internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of Agile/Scrum

  • Ability to create, own, and execute on the API and integration vision, strategy, and roadmap consistent with organizational initiatives
