In partnership with the Americas Healthcare National Business Line Leader, AECOM is seeking visionary and dynamic leadership for our Michigan and Ohio Healthcare Practice. This position can be based in our Detroit or Grand Rapids, MI office. Primary responsibility is to lead and grow the Healthcare Architecture, Engineering, Interiors, Planning (Design Planning & Economics) & Consulting(Strategy +) regional business, with a focus on positioning AECOM as a fully integrated multi-disciplinary market leader in Healthcare Consulting, Master Planning and Design Industries. Additional goal of driving innovation and excellence in Healthcare Design & Thought Leadership, Project Management, and Technical and Delivery success for local, regional and global Healthcare clients is a must.

We are seeking an individual with industry experience in the Healthcare Design & Planning Community in Michigan and Ohio, has strong client relationships, and an established client and industry network. The ideal candidate understands and has proven track record in driving business and leading projects and is versed in the following: client leadership, business development, financial oversight, design quality, project delivery, and has the ability to convey innovative design thinking and solutions.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for developing and executing the healthcare strategic growth plan for Michigan and Ohio, including developing and executing client outreach goals

+ Advocates design excellence and quality – leads the Michigan and Ohio healthcare strategy in assuring that we are building client relationships, strategically pre-positioning winning and delivering the most important healthcare work in the region

+ Working with the Midwest Regional Health Care Leader champions change – makes the AECOM Healthcare vision understandable, creates buy-in to the vision, within Michigan and Ohio, by linking day-to-day work to the attainment of the vision, engages and mobilizes others to drive change, reduces organizational ambiguity

+ Working with current AECOM Principals in Michigan and Ohio to help drive and grow existing healthcare client business

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelors degree in Architecture (or applicable field)

+ 10+ years of experience

+ Knowledge of the Michigan and Ohio healthcare marketplace, key clients, and knowledge of industry trends

+ Experience and skill in strategic business development, client relationships and driving sales and revenue

+ The ability to support and lead healthcare business development activities through early client interaction, “scope of work” development, interviews, and on-going client maintenance interface

+ Acted in senior role of large/multi-disciplined healthcare project /consultant team

+ Together with regional Managing Principal, Principal-In-Charge and Project Directors, established project scopes, work plans and work schedules

+ Understands the market value of high quality design solutions and the associated ROI for healthcare organizations.

+ Successfully delivered healthcare projects within the clients’ budget / schedule requirements

+ Successfully delivered project scope and fee, delivering targeted profit to the firm interfaced with project managers on schedules, project review meetings, issues management and client expectations

+ An ability to travel and/or work remotely with teams

+ A strong desire to train, mentor and develop staff to grow their careers and the business

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ 15+ years of experience

+ Registered Architect, Engineer, Interior Designer or Planner
