Job Summary

The Senior Director, CS/DCSA Talent delivers Talent Center of Expertise (COE) services across CS/DCSA that are anchored on the global Talent Strategy. In this role, s/he will partner with the Enterprise COE team to execute global processes within CS/DCSA and with the HR Business Leaders to identify specific programs or efforts applicable to the operating groups. As a leader in the Americas HR function and the Enterprise Talent team, the Senior Director, CS/DCSA Talent is responsible for building one or more expertise areas (e.g., succession planning, leader/manager development, high performing teams, learning needs analysis, employee survey and engagement initiatives, and organization design/change) by staying current on new developments, designing and sharing new intellectual capital, and coaching the HR community as a subject matter expert. This position solid line reports into the Senior Vice President of HR for CS/DCSA and dotted line reports into the Global Head of Talent Development.

Specific efforts will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Drive and deliver the enterprise Talent strategy for CS/DCSA

  • Augment the enterprise strategy with CS/DCSA-specific programs based on business needs such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, learning needs analysis, and career development guidance

  • Drive and develop organization design and change leadership activities for CS/DCSA-specific initiatives, partnering with the global team as needed

  • Execute key talent processes for CS/DCSA, including succession planning/talent reviews, targeted development programs, performance + rewards, high performing teams, employee surveys and engagement initiatives

  • Strengthen the HR function via learning modules and other learning activities

  • Demonstrate the COE service delivery model of leading, partnering and enabling capability development in HR and the business in support of talent and teaming activities across AECOM

  • Provide feedback to the Enterprise COE on effectiveness and applicability of global processes to ensure business concerns are being addressed and ensure CS/DCSA business needs are reflected in services being developed and offered

  • Manage direct reports (Talent Partners)

The Senior Director, CS/DCSA Talent will be proactive, results-oriented, and able to:

  • Build relationships; effectively promote ideas and influence leadership behavior through strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Effectively coach and influence senior leaders across the organization

  • Use a systems diagnosis approach to identify talent issues across the organization

  • Develop and deliver sound, practical strategies and activities to support talent programs

  • Scope and effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, from inception to completion

  • Provide thought leadership, methodology and tools to positively influence strategic direction and delivery in operating group

  • Partner with various stakeholder groups to align talent service delivery with business needs and expand COE capability and capacity

  • Align and translate strategy into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables

  • Identify critical organizational issues and root causes; provide objective, practical, data-driven solutions that are sustainable

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree

  • 10+ years of OD/OE, Talent Management, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness and/or applicable business experience

  • Strong organization design and change leadership capabilities, specifically related to large-scale transformation efforts

  • Advanced Project Management Skills.

  • Excellent Time Management ability to meet deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional acumen

  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment

  • Ability to balance big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment and to collaborate across lines of business and functions

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate at all levels within the organization with tact and professionalism

  • Ability to provide guidance and influence at the highest levels of an organization

  • Strong leadership and decision making

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional acumen

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Knowledgeable of MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and other applicable software

  • Ability to travel to support business needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree and 8+ years of OD/OE, Talent Management, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness and/or applicable business experience

  • PhD and 6+ years of OD/OE, Talent Management, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness and/or applicable business experience
