**Job Summary**

Our Markham office is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant with LEED experience to join the Buildings + Places Group, as part of a growing, creative and diverse team.

AECOM’s Buildings + Places Group has been a major industry consulting leader for many years, developing policy and practice for sustainable communities and buildings across the GTA and Ontario, and reaching into western Canada.

We focus specifically on sustainable development in the built environment, supporting the development of regulations and policy and promoting best practice for sustainable communities and buildings in Ontario and western Canada and soon into other regions of Canada. We work across all sectors within construction (housing, schools, universities, offices, retail etc). AECOM is a recognized industry leader in the field of sustainable development.

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who wants to make a difference in the field of sustainable development and climate change. We are specifically looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Consultant who has knowledge and experience in delivering LEED assessments. We have been successful in winning a number of LEED projects with high profile clients.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Managing and conducting LEED assessments including chairing meetings, preparing progress reports and managing the certification process

+ Providing advice to design teams of varying project sizes on how to achieve compliance with LEED requirements

+ Undertaking preliminary calculations for key LEED credits

+ Pursuing new work and building client relationships

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering

+ 5+ year of relevant experience on LEED–related work

+ Must be LEED Accredited Professional or LEED Green Associate

+ Must have a track record of having carried out LEED assessments, with experience in certifying projects

+ Must have experience of preparing good quality written reports, presenting technical information in a coherent and accessible way to a non-technical audience

+ Must have experience of using software packages, in particular: Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

+ Must be highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skill

+ Must have a good understanding of, and interest in, sustainable development issues as they relate to the built environment

+ Must have an in-depth understanding of LEED v. 4.0

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Post graduate qualification related to energy, buildings or the environment

+ Active in professional societies

+ Ability to obtain a security (secret level) clearance if needed

+ Federal agencies project experience

+ PWGSC project experience

+ Justice project experience

+ Post-secondary project experience

+ Strong presentation skills

+ Strong communication skills

+ Positive attitude

+ Vision for career growth
