REPORTS TO: VP Managing Counsel, Alpharetta, Georgia, United States 


POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for providing legal support for ADP's recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) business unit namely in EMEA and ASIAPAC. The individual will be a member of the ADP Legal Department.


  • Keeping apprised of all applicable laws and regulations affecting the EMEA and ASIAPAC business of ADP RPO, including the provision of RPO services in EMEA and ASIAPAC, advising the business as to the impact of such laws to client service delivery, product design and development, and operational processing
  • Conducting legal due diligence, with assistance of outside counsel as needed, to advise the RPO business on the legal requirements of providing RPO in new jurisdictions in EMEA and ASIAPAC.
  • Overseeing corporate governance activities with respect to ADP's EMEA and ASIAPAC legal entities that deliver RPO services
  • Maintaining applicable licenses and tending to regulatory matters in the countries in which RPO does business in EMEA and ASIAPAC
  • Conducting legal review of proposed responses to client RFPs for RPO services
  • Drafting and negotiating client contracts and client contract amendments for RPO services, often on client paper
  • Handling nondisclosure and similar agreements related to sales
  • Supporting RPO's HR business partners with guidance on Labor and Employment matters that arise in the ordinary course
  • Reviewing marketing and other collateral materials
  • Developing compliance training and performing other duties as assigned relative to compliance initiatives
  • Drafting and negotiating partnership agreements as applicable to enable additional service offerings
  • Providing of general legal advice on privacy matters relating to the ADP RPO business unit.

The position interfaces with all levels of Management, including Sales, Service and Business Operations.

Some travel may be required.



  • Law degree from an accredited law school in continental Europe or the U.K. and valid Bar admission required
  • In addition, a Juris Doctorate or LLM from an accredited U.S. law school is helpful 


  • 8+ years of experience, in a corporate law firm and/or as in-house counsel in a publicly owned company in continental Europe or the U.K., with an emphasis on employment law and experience with European privacy laws
  • Familiarity with RPO services generally, including concepts such as online talent communities and mobile enablement, is desired
  • Substantive experience reviewing, revising and negotiating client facing service contracts (including, Statements of Work, addenda and other support materials)


  • Competent knowledge of employment law in Europe, with expertise in European privacy laws
  • Ability to provide legal advice in a wide variety of circumstances and situations, in particular as to compliance of the services with applicable laws
  • Ability to serve as an effective business partner to the RPO business
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Operations, Sales, Service and Compliance
  • Ability to effectively interface with outside counsel and make effective use of outside counsel advice in connection with legal due diligence preceding provision of RPO services in a new jurisdiction, using a balanced lawyering approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in meeting competing demands
