About this Opportunity
As a Senior Sales Admin Analyst, you'll perform Sales administrative activities in support of the entire Sales compensation process and supporting systems for your assigned Sales areas, from account and goal assignment to the authorization of sales incentive payments. You will participate in the annual Sales compensation design process. You'll also provide reporting and analysis of the Sales compensation status in support of the North American Office, Learning, and Healing Environments. You will be responsible for the design and execution of the application software necessary to create annual Sales compensation plans and monthly sales incentive reports for all Sales positions. You will also support the Sales compensation and design process through detailed analysis and scenario modeling under various performance and financial conditions.

  • Consult with the Recruiting Department and Hiring Manager on developing offers for new hires.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Excel workbook and Access tables used to create both the annual compensation plans and monthly incentive payments for all Field Sales.
  • Engage in the annual compensation review and adjustment process with analytical support that aligns targeted income for all Sales positions with corporate financial parameters, and demonstrate through scenario modeling the impact of Sales structure and compensation design changes.
  • Help establish Sales incentive pool funding requirements and provide updates throughout the fiscal year based on projected sales levels in support of the accrual process.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide the Payroll Department with timely and accurate incentive data to ensure Sales personnel are paid accurately.
  • Provide Sales administration support for your assigned business units, including support in the areas of compensation design, sales territory assignments, compensation plan workbook, data download, incentive calculation, and addressing compensation and Sales volume questions.
  • Provide Sales administration support for the Strategic Account Management Group, Thrive, Collection, and Education. This includes maintaining the Sales Performance Warehouse (SPW), creating confidential compensation plans, tracking accounts, collecting data, and calculating incentives, as well as fielding compensation and volume questions.
  • Provide Sales Management with analysis and reports regarding the compensation status of Sales groups and specific individuals to identify at risk situations and to ensure that performance results are in alignment with intended financial outcomes.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Statistics, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Three to seven years of experience in a professional, analytical-related position.
  • Strong analytical skills with an advanced ability to utilize Microsoft Excel, Access, and mapping software to prepare statistical models, conduct analysis, and develop reports with minimal supervision.
  • Herman Miller experience that provides an understanding of its data systems and Field Sales structure.
  • The ability to execute departmental processes and procedures and to administer policies within your assigned Sales areas with minimal supervision.
  • A demonstrated ability to identify problems/issues, develop conclusions, and make recommendations for effective business actions, and to deal with tough/complex issues where there are often only optimal solutions.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining professional working relationships built on mutual trust and a strong base of peer support.
  • A proven ability to accomplish desired objectives/outcomes by influencing individuals at all levels.
  • A demonstrated ability to complete assignments with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment.
  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
