Senior Cyber Security Engineer

The GSO Content Development Team is responsible with the automation development of all cyber and fraud alerting for the Global Security Organization, ADP, and its clients.


The ADP Cyber Security Services Team is responsible for the implementation and management of all automation content and alerting by the Global Security Organization (GSO). This would include the orchestration and automation around globally implemented host, network, and data protection security tools in physical and cloud environments.

The Senior Cyber Security Engineer must have a deep understanding of networking, various operating systems, and cloud technologies. They would be required to interact with the Critical Incident Response Center, Converged Security Architecture Team, Project Management Team, and global IT Teams to deliver solutions and enhance the security program.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Function as a subject matter expert (SME) for cyber alert development
  • Providing enhanced solutions through product integrations and automation development via SOAR
  • Documenting technical implementations and processes to facilitate operational handoff
  • Consulting with the Critical Incident Response Center (CIRC) to determine effectiveness of deployed technologies and opportunities for enhancement
  • Assistance and partnership with CIRC for critical investigations
  • Liaise with the Project Management Office for tracking all deployment efforts
  • Function as an internal consultant for various business units providing overviews and demonstrations on various security technologies
  • Assist with performing technical and competitive analysis of security solutions
  • Liaise with the Security Operations Team to deploy, upgrade and maintain global security solutions
  • Establish processes for security design and deployment best practices

Experience, Skills, Academic:

  • Strong experience with systems automation / API integration in a major scripting language (Perl, Python, etc.)
  • Experience working with Security Orchestration and Automation platforms
  • Working knowledge and experience with databases and data warehouse technologies and solutions
  • Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and network communications
  • Strong experience with both Windows and *nix operating environments
  • Experience working with one or more cloud technologies: Microsoft Azure, AWS Amazon Web Services, Google
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to present to small groups and high level executives
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, and have the ability to work independently
  • Able to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff


  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Any of the following are a plus: CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, GSEC

Compensation range for this role for U.S. Colorado Residents
Minimum: $66,400
Maximum: $100,890
