Purpose and Objective: SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, Pennsylvania location (& various client sites nationwide) to serve as a Technical Quality Manager position, which is a very visible position that is embedded at our customers at premium engagements.

 

Expectations and Tasks: Contribute to the success of customer engagements by building upon the business models and operational challenges of our MaxAttention, Active Embedded, and Enterprise Support customers. Define customer process models and execute discovery workshops for application process design and implementation. By implementing, testing, and training application processes, optimize SAP business processes. Define technical architecture, landscape, and the underlying infrastructure of our work streams. Provide general basis support during the application lifecycle, setup of software, and user access. Set up the migration landscape and migration tools of our applications, as well as integrate new business solutions or technical components into operation. 90% travel required.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and 5 years of experience required. Will also accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

 

 

Work Experience: Experience must involve 3 years in the following: performing root cause analysis and providing solutions in complex environments for specific fields/areas; providing workarounds and emergency corrections where no immediate solution can be given; providing solutions in complex environments in cooperation with development support; focusing on critical incidents; functional responsibility for an area in Product Support and Global Escalation handling; supporting solution transition including upgrade (SAP, DB), migration (Platform, Database, Unicode), applying of Support Packages, Patches and System consolidations; Database Administration and Performance Tuning; SAP HANA administration and monitoring; SAP Netweaver Architecture and Performance Tuning; ABAP programming and performance tuning; and ABAP Performance and troubleshooting skills. 90% travel required.
