  You will promote, document, and implement infrastructure and deployment best practices, building and utilizing tools that allow the team to develop and deploy impeccable software for our clients to use.
• The individual will leverage existing and new tools/automated workflow capabilities to enable the ADP R&D teams to test and promote code across the hybrid cloud (AWS) environment portfolio.
• You will work hand-in-hand with the frontend and backend engineering teams in all technical operations and works to reduce or eliminate any repetitive or manual tasks.
• Additionally, you will collaborate with other engineering functions within the organization to promote inner sourcing, creating solution designs, capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Provide operational support for all environments, including participating in a rotating On Call schedule (8 person rotation)
  
  

EXPERIENCE YOU NEED:

• At least 5+ years of working experience in a DevOps capacity, working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment with technologies on premise and in the cloud.

Must have hands-on experience in a professional environment with:

• AWS services - EC2, Containerization (ECS, Fargate, EKS), Lambda, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, S3, RDS, EFS, etc.
• Infrastructure as code -- Terraform (Terragrunt, Atlantis a plus), Packer
• Configuration management -- Ansible, Puppet
• Linux operating system and general scripting.
• Source control systems -- Git, Bitbucket.
• Extensive experience with implementing and troubleshooting CI/CD -- Jenkins, Groovy.
• Some software development background is a big plus.
• Application portfolio and performance management -- Dynatrace or AppDynamics, Splunk (or their competitors).
• VMWare administration and support.
• In-depth understanding of foundational cloud architecture principles.
• Strong system-level analytical and troubleshooting skills are absolutely a must. Ability to identify and resolve high-level scalability and performance challenges.
